Job Description
**Job Title:** Front End Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Design and develop high‑performance, scalable front‑end applications and internal tools for a diagnostic medical device. Lead UI design from concept through deployment, ensuring usability, regulatory compliance, and seamless integration with hardware and backend services. **Expectations:** - 5‑7 years of front‑end software design and product development. - Proven track record delivering complex, responsive applications. - Ability to work independently and mentor peers. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead design, development, and optimization of front‑end applications and internal tools. - Conduct end‑to‑end UI design: concept, rapid prototyping, testing, iteration, and deployment. - Build reusable UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React, or Angular). - Develop and maintain automated front‑end test suites; support manual verification. - Collaborate with software, hardware, and product teams for integration and delivery. - Champion best practices in project documentation, version control, and code review. - Ensure approach aligns with regulatory standards for medical device software. **Required Skills:** - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript (advanced). - Proficiency in at least one modern JS framework (Vue, React, or Angular). - UI design proficiency with Figma. - Git version control (branching, pull requests, code review workflow). - Experience with HTTP APIs, code generation, and backend integration. - Automated testing (unit, integration, end‑to‑end). - Optional: healthcare/medical device domain experience; hardware or tablet‑focused UI experience; functional programming concepts and compile‑time safety; OpenAPI/Swagger; NixOS; FDA/ISO guidelines familiarity. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent. - No mandatory certifications listed, but knowledge of FDA/ISO software quality and safety standards is preferred.
