Job Title: Software Tester (6 month contract)
Job Description: **Job Title:** Software Tester (6 month contract) **Role Summary:** Deliver high‑quality manual and automated tests within a cross‑functional squad, supporting frequent releases via continuous delivery. Maintain test coverage for cloud‑based (Azure) applications, ensuring performance, reliability, and adherence to coding best practices. **Expectations:** * Provide comprehensive test coverage in a 6‑month contract; deliver actionable defects and improvements. * Collaborate closely with engineering, product owners and other testers in an agile environment. * Learn and apply Azure, CI/CD pipelines and emerging testing tools as required. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design, develop and maintain automated test suites (UI, API, performance, mocking). * Execute manual test cases, document results and track defects in test management tools. * Review and interpret source code (JavaScript, .NET C#) to create effective tests. * Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring quick feedback loops. * Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives and cross‑functional reviews. * Identify and recommend process improvements for test quality and efficiency. **Required Skills:** * Proven experience as a software tester with solid test‑automation expertise. * Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills. * Effective communication and teamwork in an agile/scrum setting. * Familiarity with test‑automation tools (UI, API, mocking, performance testing). * Experience with test management (tracking & reporting) tools. * Ability to review and interpret JavaScript and .NET C# code. * Understanding of DevOps concepts (CI, CD) and cloud environments (Azure). * Bonus: backend/microservices testing, large‑scale migration projects, pension product knowledge, Cypress. **Required Education & Certifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience. * Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSM, Azure Developer) are an advantage.
