Job Description
**Job title:** Mechanical Engineer – Medical Devices (Combination Product Test Engineer) **Role Summary:** Execute accurate, timely testing of sample medical devices per project scopes and client requirements. Manage sample handling, test execution, data analysis, reporting, and regulatory compliance in a contract testing laboratory environment. **Experience:** 0–2 years in laboratory services or medical device testing, preferably in contract testing/lab setting. Familiarity with GLP, cGMP, ISO, and ASTM standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Receive, identify, store, and ship samples per SOPs. - Perform assigned tests using approved methods, ensuring adherence to schedules (stability, aging pulls, etc.). - Analyze data with tools such as Excel, JMP, or Minitab; generate reports. - Report challenges, conflicts, or quality events (OOS, deviations, CAPA) to management. - Maintain lab inventory, supplies, and hazardous waste procedures. - Keep lab and storage areas clean and organized. - Review, draft, or update lab documents and test reports under supervision. - Communicate test updates and technical information to clients and internal teams. **Required Skills:** - Strong written and oral communication. - Proficiency in Excel and data‑analysis tools (JMP, Minitab). - Detail‑oriented, able to multitask in fast‑paced environments. - Team player with collaborative communication skills. - Understanding of standard operating procedures and quality systems. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. - Knowledge of GLP, cGMP, ISO, ASTM, and laboratory testing protocols.
