**Job title**
Business Analyst IV – Automation Data Engineer
**Role Summary**
Drive automation of data and business processes within auto credit operations. Partner with business and IT teams to design, build, and maintain end‑to‑end automated workflows, leveraging Python, Snowflake, Power Automate, and Power BI. Lead documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of automation solutions.
**Expectations**
- 2–5 years of Business Analyst experience with a strong record of automation or process improvement.
- Ownership of automation lifecycle from requirement gathering to production support.
- Agile mindset: sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery using JIRA and Confluence.
- Clear, concise communication with stakeholders to translate evolving business needs into reliable automated solutions.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Collaborate with business teams to identify manual or high‑effort tasks suitable for automation.
2. Design and implement ETL pipelines and rule‑based workflows in Python; orchestrate API calls and log analysis.
3. Build, test, and deploy data pipelines in Snowflake; clean, model, and store datasets for downstream use.
4. Create dynamic dashboards in Power BI to visualize system health, process performance, and operational metrics.
5. Automate business processes with Power Automate (or comparable low‑code tools) for data ingestion, status updates, and approval routing.
6. Maintain and enhance existing automation scripts, dashboards, and processes.
7. Coordinate with IT/security teams to obtain required access, ensure compliance, and meet audit requirements.
8. Document functional and technical specifications, track progress, and manage deliverables via JIRA and Confluence.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in automated systems, identifying root causes in data flow, logic, or integrations.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced proficiency in Python for data pipeline development and automation.
- SQL & Snowflake experience for data transformation and modeling.
- Power BI development: report creation, data modeling, handling complex/unstructured sources.
- Power Automate (or similar low‑code/auto‑process tools such as UIPath, Automation Anywhere).
- Agile project tools: JIRA, Confluence.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Experience in financial/auto lending domain preferred, especially loan origination, underwriting, and compliance reporting.
- Familiarity with AI model integration via API and prompt engineering concepts is a plus.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
- Relevant certifications in data engineering, business analysis, or automation (e.g., PA‑CBAP, Snowflake Specialist, Power BI certification) preferred but not mandatory.
