**Job Title:** SharePoint Specialist
**Role Summary:**
Lead the migration of SharePoint 2019 On‑Premises sites to SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365) for a state government project, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and performance. Design, develop, test, and deploy modern SharePoint solutions (SPFx web parts, extensions, scripts, and workflows), integrate with Microsoft 365 services, and provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to state personnel.
**Expectations:**
- 5–7 years of relevant experience (minimum 2 years in SharePoint development and administration).
- Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end migration projects, including requirement gathering, solution design, and deployment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with IT managers, stakeholders, and non‑technical users.
- Ability to mentor junior staff, produce clear documentation, and conduct training sessions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the migration of on‑prem SharePoint 2019 sites to SharePoint Online.
- Design, configure, test, and deploy SharePoint Solutions using modern frameworks (SPFx, React, TypeScript).
- Create and maintain custom components: SPFx web parts, extensions, scripts, and Power Platform connectors.
- Integrate SharePoint with Teams, OneDrive, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault).
- Manage content governance, permissions, Azure AD groups, compliance features (retention, sensitivity labels).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; enforce version control and build automation.
- Perform quality assurance, performance monitoring, and post‑migration validation.
- Document solutions, provide technical knowledge transfer, and deliver user training.
**Required Skills:**
- SharePoint Online architecture (sites, hubs, tenants) and SharePoint On‑Premises migration.
- Development: C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework.
- Web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React.
- SPFx development (web parts, extensions).
- PowerShell (PnP), SharePoint REST API, Microsoft Graph API.
- Microsoft 365 governance, compliance, and security (retention, labels, conditional access).
- Azure AD, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub Actions.
- Strong documentation, problem solving, and stakeholder communication.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Microsoft certifications preferred:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Developer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (optional)
