Job Description
Job Title: Asset Management Analyst Internship Role Summary: A 6‑month internship in PERIAL Asset Management focused on supporting the management, valuation, and investment analysis of a portfolio of tertiary real‑estate assets. The intern will work closely with Asset Managers on acquisition due diligence, market research, risk underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and the preparation of business plans and committee presentations. Expectations: • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (Bac+4/5) at a business school, engineering institute, or university, ideally with a major in Real Estate, Asset Management, or Wealth Management. • Completed at least one prior internship in real estate or finance. • Strong analytical mindset, meticulous and methodical work style. • Excellent written and verbal communication in French; English language skills are an asset. • Proven ability to work collaboratively, be proactive, and exhibit intellectual curiosity. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the management and appraisal of the tertiary real‑estate asset portfolio. • Support Asset Managers in acquisition processes: risk underwriting, data‑room review, and preliminary dossier analysis. • Gather and analyse market studies and competitive intelligence (rental rates, prices, yields) and conduct site visits. • Identify potential lease‑risk factors and engage with tenants to understand their property strategies. • Maintain and update activity dashboards (Top Vacants, Top Risks) and team‑specific performance charts. • Build and refresh business‑plan models for each property, incorporating projected rental forecasts and asset‑manager inputs. • Contribute to the commercialisation workflow of vacant units: agent selection, assessment of valuation opinions, financial offer analysis, and client profile evaluation. • Produce reports and presentations for commercialisation, arbitrage, asset review, and other committees; propose enhancements to strategy documentation. Required Skills: • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, VBA optional), Word, and PowerPoint. • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis abilities; comfortable working with large datasets. • Basic financial modelling and valuation techniques for real‑estate assets. • Knowledge of real‑estate leasing, market dynamics, and risk assessment concepts. • Effective communication and presentation skills in French. • Team‑collaborative mindset and proactive initiative. Required Education & Certifications: • Current study at the Bac+4/5 level (Business School, Engineering, or University). • Major preferably in Real Estate, Asset Management, or Wealth Management. • Prior internship or work experience in real‑estate or finance. • No formal certifications required for the internship position.
