Job Description
**Job Title:** Cybersecurity Engineer **Role Summary:** Provide hands‑on security solutions for QVC UK, focusing on endpoint protection, certificate management, SEIM, and web application security. Act as a technical resource, guiding business units on encryption, PKI, and security platform implementation while maintaining operational readiness. **Expectations:** - Deliver secure, industry‑compliant solutions. - Maintain and upgrade security infrastructure. - Generate and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and user documentation. - Participate in on‑call rotation for cybersecurity infrastructure. - Collaborate cross‑functionally to embed security best practices. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Implement and operate security event monitoring, digital certificate, endpoint, and web application security systems. 2. Deploy, patch, and manage security platforms and their lifecycle. 3. Advise all business lines on encryption, PKI, certificates, SEIM, and endpoint security. 4. Create and update runbooks, SOPs, and customer‑facing instructions. 5. Participate in on‑call rotation for cybersecurity infrastructure engineering. 6. Support product upgrades, new capability deployments, and daily operational tasks. **Required Skills:** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information security, or system engineering. - Hands‑on engineering experience with endpoint protection (EDR/XDR), certificate management, SEIM, web app security. - Proficient with Windows Server and Linux/UNIX environments. - Experience with SIEM platforms, PKI/CAs, HSMs, key vaults, and encryption services. - Ability to develop documentation and communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. - Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, or vendor‑specific) are a plus but not mandatory.
