Job Description
Job title: Head of Management Accounts (UK) Role Summary: Lead the management accounting function for the UK, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting, compliance with IFRS, tax laws and internal controls. Oversee a team of three direct reports, drive process improvements, and partner with operations and group finance on budgeting, forecasting and ad‑hoc analysis. Expectations: - Deliver weekly, monthly and year‑end internal reports on schedule. - Maintain audit‑ready quality and integrity of management accounts. - Manage a high‑performing team and support their professional development. - Champion continuous improvement and system enhancements across the finance function. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and review subsidiary accounts for external reporting. - Control and review balance sheet balances. - Enforce strict adherence to financial controls and H&S procedures. - Provide finance partnering to UK and non‑UK operations. - Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes. - Draft management accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, IFRS and relevant tax legislation. - Drive efficiency through change management initiatives. - Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders. Required Skills: - Fully qualified in ACCA, CIMA or ACA. - Strong technical accounting background. - Advanced proficiency in Excel. - Proven management and leadership abilities. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Ability to build and maintain effective relationships. - Flexibility to travel nationally and have a UK driving licence. Required Education & Certifications: - ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification (fully qualified).
