Job Description: Job Title: Staff Frontend Engineer, Forward Deployed Role Summary: Lead the design and engineering of high‑performance, data‑rich web interfaces for robotics and autonomous vehicle applications. Deliver scalable, interactive visualizations and workflows that process large, real‑time datasets while pushing browser limits. Expectations: - Produce production‑grade code at high velocity (often in a third of the expected time). - Own feature lifecycles from concept through user feedback and iteration. - Communicate effectively with product, design, and customer teams. - Continuously improve performance across the stack and contribute to core build tooling. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and implement dynamic, responsive UIs for streaming and large data. - Optimize JavaScript execution, data transfer, rendering pipelines, and overall app performance. - Collaborate with designers and product managers to create intuitive experiences for technical users. - Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks at all levels (framework, browser, network). - Contribute to build system design, framework architecture, and reliability enhancements. - Explore and develop non‑traditional browser workflows (e.g., WebGL, WASM, GPU rendering). - Take end‑to‑end ownership of features, including interfacing directly with customers for requirements. - Deepen domain knowledge in robotics and autonomous vehicle technologies.
