Job title: Senior Cyber Security Engineer
Role Summary: Lead and coordinate enterprise security operations across a multi‑cloud environment, ensuring PCI compliance and protection of employee and consumer data. Drive incident response, manage the security stack (SIEM, SIEM, EDR, IAM, vulnerability management), embed security into SDLC, and mentor junior staff.
Expactations: Deliver rapid, effective incident resolution; maintain compliance with PCI and industry standards; influence cross‑functional security practices; drive continuous improvement of threat detection capabilities; mentor and develop team members; manage vendor relationships and project lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead monitoring, investigation, and response to security events and incidents; • Manage SIEM, endpoint protection, IAM, SSL certificates, vulnerability scans, and remediation workflow; • Conduct penetration tests, advanced security assessments, and vulnerability scanning; • Integrate security best practices into SDLC and infrastructure deployments; • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation; • Stay abreast of emerging threats, technologies, and recommend enhancements; • Evaluate and select security tooling, vendors, and platforms; • Mentor junior engineers and lead during high‑impact events; • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Required Skills: • 6+ years of information security experience with progressive responsibility; • Expertise in incident response, SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, MFA/PAM, and email security; • Proficiency with Azure and AWS cloud security, virtualization, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention; • Strong knowledge of network protocols, Windows, Unix/Linux, and database systems; • Advanced penetration testing and vulnerability assessment skills; • Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and crisis‑management abilities; • Leadership experience and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or equivalent experience; • CISSP (preferred); • CEH, GCIH, GIAC (preferred).
