**Job Title**
Solution Architect – Automation & Observability
**Role Summary**
Senior technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and deploying enterprise‑wide automation and observability solutions. Drives architecture, strategy, and best practices across engineering teams, translating business needs into scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
**Expectations**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, architectural standards, and long‑term strategies for automation and observability initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership to engineering teams on best practices for automation, monitoring, and reliability engineering.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and patterns for next‑generation automation and observability.
- Design and implement end‑to‑end automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, Shell, and AWS CLI.
- Build and maintain automation scripts, workflows, and CI/CD pipelines to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
- Identify automation opportunities across infrastructure, cloud services, application deployments, and incident response workflows.
- Implement and optimize observability frameworks using Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana, and other monitoring platforms.
- Build dashboards, alerts, visualizations, and system health reports to enhance reliability and visibility.
- Analyze metrics, logs, and traces to proactively identify performance issues and improvement areas.
- Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities for automation, anomaly detection, and advanced observability use cases.
- Act as a technical liaison with customers, business units, and leadership teams; respond to complex questions and explain architectural decisions.
- Mentor and coach team members; promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure secure‑by‑design architecture, including isolation, least privilege, and secure data access.
- Support shift‑left/right security practices such as SAST, SCA, secrets detection, RASP, and chaos engineering.
**Required Skills**
- 10+ years of solution architecture, technical leadership, or automation engineering experience.
- Hands‑on expertise with Terraform, Ansible, Python, Shell scripting, and cloud automation.
- Proven experience with observability tools: Prometheus, Splunk (required); familiarity with Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, etc.
- Deep understanding of AWS services, cloud‑native concepts, and automated infrastructure deployment.
- Strong communication skills for presenting technical roadmaps to leadership and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to secure architectures while enabling isolated yet enterprise‑connected environments.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- (Preferred) Experience with AI/ML frameworks, predictive analytics, large language models, Python ML algorithm development, microservices architectures, CI/CD pipelines, automation testing frameworks, chaos engineering, and advanced reliability/security engineering practices.
