Job Description
**Job title:** Cloud Security Engineer **Role Summary:** Senior Cloud Security Engineer responsible for architecting, deploying, and operating secure, scalable cloud environments in AWS and Azure. Works closely with product, network, and security teams to design Zero‑Trust solutions, automate security controls, and maintain SIEM/SOAR/XDR platforms. **Expectations** - Deliver hands‑on implementation of security solutions rather than development tasks. - Collaborate with delivery and customer teams to translate business requirements into secure cloud designs. - Maintain compliance with frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, PCI, SOX, CMMC, and CUI. - Provide on‑site or remote support for State and Local Government clients; travel as required. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Design and deploy highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure and applications (AWS & Azure). 2. Develop and maintain automation pipelines for cloud security accelerators (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). 3. Build and manage SIEM, SOAR, and XDR systems; analyze and remediate configuration issues. 4. Implement Zero‑Trust architecture across cloud workloads. 5. Monitor, log, and audit production environments to meet compliance mandates. 6. Document security tools, deployment configurations, and incident reports. **Required Skills** - 5‑10 years in Information Security & Engineering. - 5+ years managing firewalls in AWS & Azure; 5+ years with Palo Alto products (VM series & hardware). - Solid experience designing/maintaining AWS/Azure infra. - Proficiency in cloud security operations and automation tools. - Strong written and verbal communication; excellent documentation skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience. - Must hold at least one AWS or Azure certification (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate). **Preferred (Optional)** - Palo Alto VM-Series Certified Design Engineer (PCNSE) - Prisma Cloud Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PRISMA-CCE) - CISSP, SC-100, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, F5/Bob, Cisco Umbrella, F5 Load Balancer certifications.
