Job Description
Job title: Cybersecurity Manager Role Summary: Lead and grow the cybersecurity practice by defining strategy, managing client relationships, controlling profitability, and developing talent within the organization. Expactations: Deliver profitable cybersecurity services, drive business development, secure client satisfaction at C‑level, maintain financial and operational metrics, and represent the firm as a trusted industry partner. Key Responsibilities: - Define and execute the operational strategy for the cybersecurity portfolio in partnership with technical leads and senior management. - Lead business development: attend C‑level meetings, present plans of action, influence decision makers, and drive new revenue. - Manage service pricing, monitor hourly rates, control billing cycles, and ensure on‑time client payments. - Oversee the entire service delivery lifecycle: staffing, quality control, high‑value interventions, and client success. - Monitor financial performance: profitability, cost of lost services, margin targets, and budget variance. - Collaborate with talent acquisition and HR to forecast recruitment needs, conduct interviews, and maintain firm culture. - Develop and execute a professional development plan for cybersecurity staff, including training, certifications, and knowledge sharing. - Partner with sales and business teams to strengthen existing client relationships and expand into new accounts. - Represent the firm in partner networks, evangelise solutions, and contribute to industry presence. Required Skills: - Strategic thinking and business acumen. - Deep understanding of cybersecurity concepts, frameworks, and market trends. - Proven client‑facing experience at senior levels (C‑suite). - Strong project and resource management capabilities. - Expertise in pricing, profitability analysis, and financial reporting. - Leadership and people‑management skills with a track record of building high‑performing teams. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize, and take initiative. Required Education & Certifications: - 8+ years of progressive cybersecurity or IT security management experience. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. - Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or equivalent.
