Job title: Senior DevOps Engineer – AWS & GitOps Focus
Role Summary:
Seasoned DevOps professional with 6+ years of hands‑on AWS experience, focused on designing and operating GitOps‑driven, cloud‑native platforms. Drives automation, builds robust deployment pipelines, and ensures scalable, secure infrastructure for SaaS/PaaS environments.
Expactations:
- Minimum 6 years of direct experience with AWS services.
- Proven expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, and scripting (Bash, Python, or Go).
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively with clients, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Proactive learner with ownership mindset and strong problem‑solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, provision, and maintain AWS infrastructure (EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, ASM, ACM, PrivateLink, VPC Lattice).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform across multiple environments.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, and security.
- Design and operate GitOps pipelines (ArgoCD) and CI/CD workflows (GitLab).
- Develop and maintain monitoring/observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, DataDog).
- Create and maintain Helm charts and support multi‑cluster management.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and clients to deliver high‑quality solutions.
- Document architecture, processes, and best practices.
Required Skills:
- AWS services: EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, ASM, ACM, PrivateLink, VPC Lattice.
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform.
- Container orchestration: Kubernetes.
- Scripting: Bash, Python, or Go.
- GitOps tools: ArgoCD (multi‑cluster).
- CI/CD: GitLab pipelines.
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, DataDog (preferred).
- Additional: Argo Workflows, Helm chart development, SaaS/PaaS product experience (nice to have).
- Soft skills: strong problem‑solving, client‑facing communication, self‑direction, detail‑orientation, independent work, ownership.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
