Job Title: ServiceNow Developer
Role Summary:
Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications for a banking client. Focus on IT Service Management, IT Operations Management, Service Catalog, HR Service Delivery, and configuration management. Deliver custom integrations via REST/SOAP, orchestrations, and ensure high-quality CMDB governance and discovery.
Expectations:
* 8–10 years of professional ServiceNow development experience.
* Full-cycle delivery from requirements gathering to production deployment.
* Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITIL processes and best practices.
* Proven ability to build and customize Service Catalog, ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and CMDB components.
* Experience integrating third‑party systems using REST/SOAP APIs and ServiceNow Orchestration.
* Excellent problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
* Self‑motivated, collaborative, and capable of working under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and configure ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CMDB, Service Catalog).
2. Write robust server‑side (JavaScript) and client‑side (AngularJS/HTML5) code for custom applications.
3. Design and implement REST/SOAP integrations with external banking and enterprise systems.
4. Create and maintain orchestration flows for automated processes and approvals.
5. Conduct configuration,. configuration, testing, and validation of CMDB data and discovery schedules.
6. Perform functional and regression testing, defect tracking, and resolution.
7. Produce detailed design and technical documentation, including system requirements, data mapping, and user guides.
8. Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and PMs to refine requirements and deliver solutions on time.
9. Mentor junior developers and share best practices.
10. Continuously assess and recommend platform enhancements, performance tuning, and security controls.
Required Skills:
* Advanced ServiceNow development (JavaScript, Glide APIs, UI Policies, Client Scripts).
* Service Catalog, ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CMDB, Discovery, and Orchestration experience.
* Proficient in REST/SOAP integration, web services, and API design.
* Experience with Snow and other configuration management databases.
* Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
* Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* ServiceNow Certified Application Developer – Advanced.
* ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
* ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4) preferred.
