**Job title:** Embedded Regional Security Manager
**Role Summary:**
Lead and coordinate all physical security operations for the East Region, overseeing site security managers, contracted partners, and internal teams to protect employees, assets, and facilities across multiple locations. Act as crisis commander, conduct security audits, manage vendor contracts, and collaborate with law enforcement to uphold a robust, compliant security posture while supporting business continuity and growth.
**Expectations:**
- 5+ years in security operations, law enforcement, or military contexts.
- 3+ years managing corporate security functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, organizational management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Willingness to work non‑traditional hours, holidays, nights, and occasional weekends.
- Anticipated travel up to 50% of the year.
- Familiarity with event security, crowd management, and corporate build‑out processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Supervise internal and external security personnel across NYC, DC, Orlando, Toronto, EU/UK sites.
- Conduct comprehensive security gap assessments of facilities, identifying barriers, procedures, policies, and environmental threats.
- Serve as primary incident commander during crises, coordinating response and escalation.
- Lead investigations of accidents, thefts, disturbances, and other incidents involving company assets or personnel.
- Oversee selection, deployment, and contract negotiations with guarding services and other physical security vendors.
- Act as liaison between security division, facilities teams, and law enforcement agencies.
- Advise on security considerations during facility build‑outs and expansions.
- Maintain and enhance environmental health and safety audits and risk mitigation programs.
- Coach, develop, and retain security staff, fostering professional growth and performance.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience in corporate security operations management and incident command.
- Strong audit and risk assessment capabilities, with experience applying security frameworks and technology solutions (Genetec, Ontic, Ambient, Google Workspace).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing and briefing presentations.
- Project management proficiency, able to juggle multiple initiatives in a fast‑moving environment.
- Demonstrated confidentiality handling, emotional intelligence, and ethical decision‑making.
- Vendor and contract negotiation skills.
- Experience scaling security operations in high‑growth or rapidly changing contexts.
- Knowledge of crowd control, event security, and corporate checks for product launches or conferences.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Organizational Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or another internationally recognized security management certification is preferred.
