Job title: Investment Associate – Global Technology Private Equity
Role Summary:
Support a high‑conviction investment team by sourcing, executing, and adding value to high‑growth technology and software deals across Europe and North America. Engage partners, manage full investment lifecycle, and deliver strategic and financial insights for portfolio companies.
Expectations:
- 3‑5 years experience in private equity, growth equity, TMT investment banking, strategy consulting or a comparable analytical, deal‑oriented role.
- Proven record of completing transactions and independently building financial models.
- Deep curiosity and expertise in technology sectors, SaaS economics, and recurring revenue models.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication, and ability to operate in lean, high‑responsibility teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct structured research on technology verticals and emerging sub‑sectors to generate high‑confidence investment themes.
- Build proprietary sourcing channels through outreach to founders, management, advisors, bankers, and co‑investors; represent the firm at industry events.
- Own valuation workstreams: LBO structuring, sensitivity analysis, and multiple SaaS‑specific metrics.
- Lead cross‑functional diligence (commercial, product/tech, financial, legal, regulatory) in partnership with senior deal team members.
- Prepare investment committee (IC) materials—industry context, deal thesis, risks, returns, and value‑creation plans.
- Support negotiations and complete the transaction cycle from term sheet to closing.
- Partner with portfolio leadership to accelerate revenue growth, refine GTM and pricing, develop KPI dashboards, and execute bolt‑on acquisitions (synergy mapping, integration assessment).
- Contribute to exit strategy, vendor materials, and secondary processes.
- Collaborate closely with Partners, operating teams, external advisors, and occasionally assist investor reporting and fundraising.
Required Skills:
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation (LBO, SaaS‑metrics, recurring‑revenue, unit economics, go‑to‑market funnel).
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to engage founders, CEOs, and senior investment professionals credibly.
- Proactive, organised, detail‑driven, able to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast‑paced, lean environment.
- Comfortable with stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and strategy development.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- MBA, CFA, or similar advanced certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
Languages:
- Fluency in English required; additional European languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish) are a plus.
