Job Description

Job Title: Quality Assurance Test Engineer Role Summary: Conduct comprehensive testing of Windows desktop applications, focusing on patch and system-level update validation. Create and execute structured test cases, document results, and manage defect lifecycle to ensure product quality and compliance within restricted environments. Expactations: Deliver accurate, detailed testing outcomes; maintain up-to-date test documentation and defect records; collaborate effectively with development, security, and operations teams; uphold stringent quality standards and confidentiality requirements in classified projects. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain test plans, cases, and scripts for desktop applications and Windows patches. - Execute functional, regression, performance, and security tests on Windows platforms. - Log, track, and report defects with clear reproduction steps and severity assessments. - Verify patch implementation integrity and system stability post-deployment. - Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and validate fixes. - Produce comprehensive test documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders. - Operate within restricted or classified environments, adhering to security protocols. Required Skills: - Proven experience testing Windows desktop applications. - Hands‑on validating Windows patches and system updates. - Strong capability in writing structured test cases and detailed documentation. - Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with keen attention to detail. - Clear defect reporting and defect lifecycle management proficiency. - Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. - Preferred experience on restricted or classified projects. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are advantageous but not mandatory.
