**Job Title:** AI Robotics Intern **Role Summary:** Drive the development of adaptive gait models and AI prototypes for powered wearable robots. Work side‑by‑side with research and engineering teams to transform large real‑world sensor datasets into machine‑learning solutions that enhance robotic gait assistance. **Expectations:** - 8–12 month internship, minimum 3 days per week. - Full‑time or part‑time commitment acceptable; independent ownership of tasks. - Deliver prototypes, evaluate performance metrics, and communicate results to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement adaptive gait models using machine learning and reinforcement learning. - Build AI prototypes that process real‑time sensor data (joint angles, velocities, torques). - Train and test deep‑learning models (LSTMs, Transformers, CNNs) for user intent prediction and gait optimization. - Explore reinforcement‑learning algorithms for live adaptive control. - Clean, restructure, and validate internal datasets and simulated data before model deployment. - Define and quantify performance metrics such as interaction forces, intent recognition accuracy, and user comfort. - Prepare documentation and presentations of findings for cross‑functional teams. **Required Skills:** - Enrolled or recently completed a Master’s/PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. - Proficiency with machine‑learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch). - Experience with deep‑learning architectures (RNN, LSTM, CNN) and/or reinforcement‑learning frameworks. - Solid grasp of control theory and its robotic applications. - Python coding, version control (Git), and debugging skills for electromechanical systems. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities. - Ability to work independently and collaborate within small teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Current enrollment or recent completion of a Master’s or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
