Job Description
**Job title** Sales Engineer – Fire Systems **Role Summary** Provide technical sales support for Armstrong Fluid Technology’s Fire products across the UK and Ireland. Generate quotes, resolve technical issues, conduct customer presentations, and contribute to aftermarket revenue and product improvements. **Expectations** * Achieve sales targets for new Fire product sales and aftermarket parts. * Resolve customer technical issues within a same‑day response window. * Maintain zero backlog of support tickets. **Key Responsibilities** - Generate sales quotes for Fire systems and spare parts. - Own the resolution of technical customer inquiries and support tickets. - Participate in customer visits and deliver technical presentations. - Collect and report customer feedback to drive service and product enhancements. - Maintain and update technical documentation and selection software. - Support development of internal procedures, best practices, and documentation consistency. - Track customer and competitor data for agile business responses. - Triage early‑stage enquiries to assess opportunities. - Provide aftermarket forecast analysis and collaborate with sales, partners, and parts strategy teams. - Convert enquiries into part kits and educate customers on preventive maintenance. **Required Skills** - Mechanical or related engineering knowledge with strong analytical and root‑cause analysis abilities. - Proficient with pump selection software (Armstrong preferred). - Advanced Microsoft Office skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication; collaborative team player. - Self‑motivated, action‑oriented, capable of independent work and cross‑functional collaboration. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. - Experience in engineering/manufacturing within an industrial setting. - Prior sales or technical service experience in Fire or pump‑related industries. ---
