**Job Title:** Senior Java Developer
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, development, and deployment of large‑scale, data‑intensive Java applications. Drive performance and reliability of AWS‑based data pipelines, Spark processing jobs, and NoSQL integrations while ensuring clean, maintainable code and robust cloud‑native solutions.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver end‑to‑end solutions for batch and streaming data workflows.
- Optimize system performance across distributed environments.
- Mentor junior developers and uphold high coding standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect and implement Java (Spring Boot) services for data processing.
- Build, tune, and maintain Spark SQL, DataFrame, and streaming jobs on AWS EMR.
- Deploy Spark workloads, manage cluster scaling, and monitor performance.
- Design and manage NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational database schemas, using Flyway for migrations.
- Integrate AWS services (S3, Lambda, EKS, EC2, RDS) into end‑to‑end solutions.
- Ensure code quality through automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Troubleshoot production incidents, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures.
- Keep abreast of emerging big‑data and cloud technologies, recommending improvements.
**Required Skills:**
- 8+ years of Java backend development; strong Spring Boot experience.
- Deep expertise in Apache Spark (batch/stream, SQL, DataFrames, performance tuning).
- Hands‑on AWS: EMR, EKS, Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, logging, and monitoring.
- Proficient with MongoDB and relational databases; experience with schema migrations (Flyway).
- Proven ability to design and optimize distributed data workflows.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty or AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty (preferred).
