Job title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Role Summary:
Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines within Azure. Drive automation, observability, and governance to enable continuous delivery and operational excellence.
Expectations:
- 10–12+ years of mature DevOps practice.
- Proven ownership of end‑to‑end solution delivery in a 24/7 production environment.
- Strategic mindset for cloud cost, performance, and capacity planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for Azure services.
- Ensure platform availability, performance, and security through monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, infra, and security teams to align DevOps best practices with business objectives.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment across environments, reducing manual toil.
- Optimize system performance, capacity, and cost; conduct capacity planning and cost‑benefit analysis.
- Enforce cloud governance, access control, and compliance.
- Lead migration of legacy systems to cloud‑native architectures.
- Design and sustain observability solutions for deep insight into systems, applications, and services.
- Conduct post‑incident reviews, root cause analysis, and drive continuous reliability improvements.
Required Skills:
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (Compute, Networking, Identity, Monitoring).
- Strong CI/CD pipeline design and operation (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Proficiency in IaC (Terraform, ARM, Bicep), scripting (PowerShell, Bash), and configuration management.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
- Implement and manage security and compliance controls in cloud environments.
- Incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Professional Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect, or Cloud Architect) preferred.
