Desktop Support Specialist
**Role Summary**
Provide end‑user technical support for Windows, macOS and optional Linux environments. Resolve hardware and software issues, configure and maintain computing devices, manage user accounts via Active Directory, and log incidents in ServiceNow. Act as the primary IT liaison for internal customers, translating business needs into technical solutions and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 2 years of desktop support experience.
- Proven ability to support Windows 10/11, macOS, and basic Linux systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and related collaboration tools.
- Effective communication in written and spoken English.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Serve as on‑site IT point of contact for business units.
- Configure, install, and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, and peripheral hardware.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access through Active Directory.
- Resolve support tickets via ServiceNow, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
- Conduct new‑hire IT induction, provisioning of devices and software.
- Collect user feedback, translate business requirements into technical recommendations.
- Provide troubleshooting for Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Maintain inventory and warranty records for hardware assets.
**Required Skills**
- Desktop support experience (Windows 10/11, macOS, Linux).
- Active Directory administration (user/group management, ACLs).
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools (Teams, OneDrive).
- ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM ticketing system.
- Hardware troubleshooting (motherboard, storage, networking, peripherals).
- Strong verbal and written communication in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional IT team.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Windows 10/11, or Apple Certified Support Associate (ACS) are advantageous.
