**Job Title:** Network Administrator III
**Role Summary:**
Primary Network Engineer supporting the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) missile‑defense program. Plans, deploys, integrates, and tests network upgrades to operational sites, conducts remote installations and troubleshooting, and provides status updates to program personnel.
**Expectations:**
- 5+ years of relevant experience (or 3 years with a related Master’s degree).
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer/Information Systems, MIS, IT or related field (or equivalent education/experience).
- IAT Level II 8570‑compliant security certification (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, etc.).
- U.S. citizenship with DoD Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred).
- Ability to travel to remote sites (e.g., Schriever SFB, Alaska, Guam, Europe).
- Strong collaboration and agile‑teamwork mindset.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, develop, and test network architectures for C2BMC.
- Plan and execute network upgrades to fielded sites, ensuring integration with sensor and weapon systems.
- Perform on‑site installations, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of network hardware/software.
- Provide technical status reports and briefings to program leadership.
- Create and maintain documentation, diagrams, and presentations (PowerPoint, Visio).
- Coordinate with multi‑vendor teams (Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto) and support WAN optimizers, TACLANE, and optical transport equipment.
**Required Skills:**
- In‑depth knowledge of OSI model, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF.
- Network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting expertise.
- Firewall configuration/management (Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
- Experience with UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE tunnels, and TCP/IP design.
- Multi‑vendor switching and routing (Juniper, Cisco).
- Proficiency with WAN optimizers, TACLANE devices, and optical transport.
- Excellent written and oral communication; strong presentation skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Visio.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in EE, CIS, CPE, MIS, IT or related discipline (or equivalent).
- OR Master’s degree in a related field plus 3 years experience.
- IAT Level II 8570‑compliant security certification (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.).
- Active DoD Secret clearance (Top Secret desired).
- U.S. citizenship.
