**Job Title:** Manager, Cyber Security Engineering
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise security controls across networks, infrastructure, cloud, IAM, firewall, and email domains. Provide strategic direction to align security initiatives with organizational goals and foster a security-first culture.
**Expectations:**
Demonstrate technical leadership in cybersecurity, collaborate cross-functionally to mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with industry frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Controls). Maintain incident response readiness and drive security innovation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Champion security control implementation for firewalls, IAM, cloud, and email systems.
- Design and optimize hybrid cloud/on-prem security architecture.
- Lead IAM/PAM governance, including identity lifecycle and access controls.
- Strengthen network security via segmentation, perimeter defenses, and firewall operations.
- Integrate security into cloud/DevOps pipelines (Microsoft Azure focus).
- Execute vulnerability management, triage risks, and remediate issues.
- Manage incident response and forensic investigations for infrastructure threats.
- Develop documentation, architecture diagrams, and standards.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for security enhancements.
- Mentor junior staff and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and access control requirements.
**Required Skills:**
- Expertise in cloud security (Microsoft Azure, M365) and IAM/PAM (Azure AD, Entra ID).
- Proficiency in firewall technologies (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
- Email security implementation (Microsoft Defender).
- Vulnerability management and secure configuration baselining.
- Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python).
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation abilities.
- Strategic thinking to balance operational and long-term security needs.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or technical field.
- Certifications: CISSP, AZ-500, SC-300, SC-200, CCSP, or equivalents preferred.
- 7+ years cybersecurity experience, including 2+ years in technical leadership/senior engineering roles.
