Job Title: Sr. DevOps with GitHub Co‑Pilot
Role Summary: Senior DevOps engineer responsible for integrating, supporting, and optimizing GitHub Co‑Pilot within enterprise CI/CD pipelines. Drives adoption, improves code quality, and mentors teams on AI‑powered development workflows.
Expectations: 8–10 years of DevOps experience; proven expertise in GitHub Co‑Pilot, AWS, Jenkins, Terraform, Unix, and container orchestration. Must have migrated SVN to Git and led cloud migration from on‑prem to AWS. Holds AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines incorporating GitHub Co‑Pilot for automated code review, generation, and style enforcement.
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot, and advocate for Co‑Pilot enhancements; capture feedback and refine best‑practice guidelines.
- Lead migration of on‑prem Git repositories from SVN, ensuring data integrity and access control.
- Develop and enforce Co‑Pilot code‑generation conventions, documentation standards, and security policies.
- Architect and script Terraform deployments for AWS environments, aligning with organizational security and scalability requirements.
- Mentor engineering teams on AI‑augmented coding practices; train staff on Co‑Pilot usage and pipeline integration.
- Collaborate with product and security groups to evaluate Co‑Pilot recommendations, improve accuracy, and mitigate model limitations.
Required Skills:
- Deep knowledge of GitHub Co‑Pilot (usage, limitations, API integration).
- Proficient with Unix/Linux system administration.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Strong version‑control experience (Git, SVN) and migration expertise.
- Container orchestration (Kubernetes), image build, and registry management.
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation.
- AWS cloud architecture: EC2, S3, EKS, IAM, VPC.
- Code scanning, linting, security analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, and problem‑solving.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.
- (Optional) Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent.
