**Job Title**
Data Scientist – ML & AI Modeling (ML Focus)
**Role Summary**
Develop, implement, and scale machine learning and large‑language‑model (LLM) solutions to deliver business value. Lead end‑to‑end data science projects, collaborating with stakeholders to design data pipelines, model architectures, and AI‑powered applications.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑quality ML/LLM models and pipelines on time.
- Provide technical guidance on AI best practices.
- Communicate insights clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Maintain rigorous documentation and reproducibility standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with users to define problem scope and deliver data‑driven solutions.
- Conduct research on complex data sets, integrating multiple sources for modeling.
- Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and deploy supervised, unsupervised, or deep‑learning models, including prompt engineering and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG).
- Prototype experiments, analyze results, and iterate models.
- Leverage cloud services (Azure, AWS, etc.) for model training, inference, and scaling.
- Provide technical expertise on security, risk, and data governance compliance.
- Create tutorials, sample apps, and training materials for stakeholders.
**Required Skills**
- Strong foundation in machine learning algorithms, NLP, and LLMs.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Java, and MATLAB.
- Experience with prompt engineering, RAG, LangChain/LangGraph or analogous frameworks.
- Expertise in ETL, large‑scale data processing, and distributed computing (PySpark).
- Knowledge of cloud platform services (Azure, AWS) and associated data services.
- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD, and software configuration management.
- Understanding of data architecture, application architecture, and secure network design.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project‑management skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (Ph.D. preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years professional data‑science experience (or Master’s level qualification).
- Certifications in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) or data engineering tools are advantageous but not mandatory.
