Job Title: ServiceNow SAM Pro Practitioner
Role Summary: Own and optimize the end‑to‑end lifecycle of software assets within an enterprise, using ServiceNow SAM Pro to secure entitlement accuracy, drive cost efficiencies, and maintain compliance with licensing agreements and audit requirements.
Expectations: Deliver precise entitlement data, recover unused licenses, close licensing gaps, and support procurement and finance decisions through improved visibility and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete software asset lifecycle: procurement, entitlement ingestion, deployment, monitoring, optimization, and retirement.
- Configure, maintain, and advance the ServiceNow SAM module, ensuring effective configuration and use.
- Import, validate, and continuously update all software entitlements; perform reconciliation against discovered installations.
- Execute reclamation processes to reclaim unused licenses and reduce spend.
- Identify compliance gaps, over‑licensing, under‑licensing, and other cost‑saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with procurement, vendor management, finance, and IT for renewals, strategic planning, and audit readiness.
- Maintain data integrity across ServiceNow, CMDB, and related systems.
- Recommend and implement process enhancements, governance improvements, and automation to increase efficiency.
Required Skills
- Hands‑on ServiceNow SAM Pro administration, entitlement management, reconciliation, and reclamation workflow configuration.
- Deep knowledge of software licensing models (SaaS, per‑user, per‑device, enterprise agreements).
- Experience managing full software asset lifecycle and implementing reclamation strategies.
- Strong analytical, data management, and detail orientation.
- Excellent cross‑functional communication and collaboration abilities.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- ServiceNow SAM Pro certification (required).
- Additional relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Certified Software Asset Management Professional) are advantageous.
