Job Description
**Job Title** Pricing Strategy & Optimization Intern **Role Summary** Assist the Pricing Strategy team in analyzing pharmacy contract terms, mapping these terms to claims data, building performance dashboards, and identifying pricing optimization opportunities for prescription drugs. Evaluate pre‑ and post‑optimization impacts against market and contractual benchmarks, and report findings to cross‑functional stakeholders. **Expectations** - 12‑week full‑time internship during summer 2026. - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program, expected to graduate between May 2027 and June 2028. - Ability to commit full‑time to the internship program for the entire 12‑week period. **Key Responsibilities** - Review contractual pricing frameworks to define brand and generic categories, pricing cost basis, and reimbursement targets. - Map the defined framework to claim data stored in Redshift, ensuring accurate data flow into Looker. - Design and develop dashboards and visualizations (Looker, Tableau, or Excel) to track current and historical pricing trends and performance relative to targets. - Identify drug opportunities for optimization by comparing pharmacy and competitor pricing, under‑utilized (U&C) prices, and insurance pricing. - Establish pre‑optimization periods for drug groups, then measure claims and revenue impact of pricing changes against benchmarks. - Compile performance reports to contract targets and communicate the impact of pricing adjustments. - Collaborate with Pharmacy Strategy, Pricing Strategy, and Data teams to present insights, recommendations, and actionable next steps. **Required Skills** - Curiosity, motivation, and a proactive learning attitude. - Basic SQL proficiency. - Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, or Excel). - Strong analytical ability to translate data into actionable insights. - Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills. - Detail‑oriented with a strategic mindset. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current Bachelor’s degree candidate. - No specific certifications required. ---
