Job title: Quality Assurance Specialist
Role Summary: Own and drive the quality assurance process for large IT projects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage, automation, and alignment with Agile and DevOps practices.
Expectations: Deliver high‑quality, defect‑free releases by creating, executing, and maintaining both manual and automated test suites. Actively contribute to the team’s quality strategy and continuously improve testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine the team’s quality strategy and testing approach.
- Define test scope for stories, releases, sprints, and projects.
- Identify, design, and implement test cases—manual and automated—to ensure coverage at targeted test levels.
- Write and maintain automated scripts using tools such as Parasoft, HP UFT, Selenium, Cucumber, and integrate with Zephyr/HP ALM.
- Prepare testing environments, data, and execution contexts in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Execute tests, document results, and report defects.
- Manage test records in Confluence and product test repositories.
- Leverage SQL for test data and validation.
- Monitor and report on test metrics; recommend process improvements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing quality input on backlog grooming, sprints, and releases.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in IT quality assurance across large applications.
- Hands‑on expertise with Jira, TFS, Confluence, Zephyr, HP ALM, Postman, SoapUI, and API testing.
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cucumber, Parasoft, HP UFT).
- Proficient in writing and executing SQL queries.
- Programming skills in Java and/or .NET for test development.
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, BDD, and DDD concepts.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and synthesis abilities.
- French language proficiency (required).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (alternative combinations of qualification and experience may be considered).
- Certifications in Agile/DevOps or test automation are a plus but not mandatory.
