Job title: DevOps Cloud Operations Engineer
Role Summary: Execute and support cloud‑based and on‑premise Active Directory (AD) environments, develop and maintain domain controllers, troubleshoot and resolve complex server and AD issues, and create automated deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools within AWS.
Expectations: Deliver secure, highly available AD services for a large enterprise (≈45,000+ users) using a multi‑forest model; provide 3rd‑level support for Microsoft Server and AD incidents; maintain rigorous testing and documentation standards; collaborate in Agile teams; automate infrastructure with Ansible, PowerShell, and Python.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage security, support, and lifecycle of current and next‑generation AD environments.
- Build, deploy, and maintain domain controllers on‑prem and in AWS.
- Execute comprehensive testing for functionality, compatibility, and performance.
- Create and maintain automated tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across Windows, Linux, IIS, and SQL platforms.
- Provide 3rd‑level support for end users, application teams, and critical incidents.
- Document and communicate technical information to internal teams and partners.
Required Skills:
- AWS, Active Directory, Ansible proficiency.
- Programming/scripting in PowerShell and Python (or equivalent).
- Experience with Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019, Linux, IIS, SQL, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, AD Trusts, PKI certificates, and SSL.
- Understanding of GPOs, authentication, replication, sites & services, RSAT tools, and security management.
- Agile methodology experience.
- Ability to build deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting tooling in AWS.
Desired Skills (non‑mandatory):
- Experience with AI technologies.
- Proven skills administering large‑scale AD environments (45,000+ users).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert strongly preferred.
