**Job Title**
Marine Works Engineer
**Role Summary**
Plan, manage, and supervise marine construction activities for large port projects. Ensure precise execution of works such as seawalls, piers, piles, and earthworks while coordinating with design teams, contractors, and site personnel. Deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
**Expectations**
- 3–5 years of proven experience in marine or port construction (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of marine execution methods, interface management, and offshore constraints.
- Ability to make on‑site decisions, challenge practices, and drive continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Prepare detailed work plans, schedules, and resource allocations for marine civil works.
2. Design and optimise execution methods: material selection, operation modes, phasing, and interfaces.
3. Coordinate with site crews, design office, and subcontractors to align activities and resolve conflicts.
4. Monitor technical aspects of the project: quantity take‑offs, production tracking, and progress reporting.
5. Enforce quality, safety, and environmental standards in the port environment.
6. Identify and propose cost‑, time‑, and organisation‑optimisation opportunities.
**Required Skills**
- Civil / maritime or industrial engineering background.
- Expertise in marine construction techniques and regulations.
- Project management, scheduling, and budget monitoring.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and teamwork.
- Proactive problem‑solving and decision‑making on site.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., MLC, PMP, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
