**Job Title:** Business Development Lead **Role Summary:** Head of sales for Canada, leading a team of 29 to execute regional strategies, drive growth, and achieve organizational revenue and profitability targets. Focus on strategic business planning, cross-functional collaboration, and B2B customer relationship management. **Expectations:** - Proven leadership in a matrixed organization with accountability for $100M+ revenue. - Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and delivering sales strategies that exceed targets. - Experience balancing P&L management, strategic alignment, and commercial transformation. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute segment-specific business plans to meet revenue, volume, and margin targets. - Translate global/regional strategies into actionable priorities aligned with organizational goals. - Lead and empower a high-performing sales team, fostering collaboration and commercial excellence. - Manage segment P&Ls and working capital to ensure sustainable, profitable growth. - Partner with R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain to deliver integrated customer solutions. - Strengthen B2B relationships with Protein Processors, Food Processors, Retail, QSR, and Foodservice segments. - Drive opportunity management, forecasting, and innovation pipelines using analytics and sales tools. - Champion Health & Nutrition, Sustainability, and Alternative Protein initiatives. - Lead commercial transformation, including go-to-market strategies and organizational restructuring. **Required Skills:** - Leadership in sales/business development with team management experience (minimum ~29 members). - Matrixed organizational experience and stakeholder alignment. - Strong commercial acumen in pricing, value capture, and margin management. - Cross-functional collaboration to execute integrated strategies. - Analytical skills for opportunity forecasting and data-driven decision-making. - Change leadership and ability to influence without formal authority. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. - Minimum 10 years in Sales/Business Development within Food, CPG, or Ingredients industry; 5+ years in people leadership roles.
