**Job Title:** Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)
**Role Summary:**
Seasoned software engineering internship focused on designing, developing, testing, and shipping production‑grade product features for a high‑scale healthcare platform. Interns work cross‑functionally on web, mobile, and backend services, contributing to core clinical workflow and billing APIs under mentorship from senior engineers.
**Expectations:**
- Work full‑time (5 days/week) onsite.
- Meet sprint goals and deliver clean, testable code.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and incident response.
- Build and operate services with strong observability and reliability.
- Demonstrate strong ownership, communication, and collaboration with product, design, data/ML, and infrastructure teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and implement new features across the stack (frontend, backend, APIs).
- Support core platforms and services that power clinical workflows and billing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with product, design, data/ML, and infrastructure teams to deliver customer‑centric solutions.
- Build full‑stack solutions prioritizing usability, security, and performance.
- Write robust automated tests and maintain static/continuous‑integration pipelines.
- Instrument features with metrics, logging, and alerting; maintain dashboards.
- Review code, write technical documents, and contribute to best‑practice style guides.
- Operate production services, troubleshoot incidents, and drive continuous improvement.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong foundation in CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, networking, concurrency.
- Proficiency in at least one: TypeScript/Node, Python, or Go.
- Quick adaptation to new technologies and ability to work full‑stack.
- Good debugging, testing, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Product sense, attention to detail, and empathy for end users.
- Excellent communication, ownership, and teamwork.
**Preferred Additional Skills (any subset):**
- Experience building or operating production services.
- Familiarity with React, iOS/Android frameworks, or other modern front‑end/mobile tech.
- Exposure to AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of secure API design, data modeling, monitoring, alerting, and observability.
- Understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7/FHIR), HIPAA compliance, or AI/ML strategies.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science or a related technical field, with graduation by June 2027.
