Job Title: Lead Engineer
Role Summary
Lead technical architecture and engineering strategy for a SaaS employee‑benefits platform, driving high‑quality delivery, AI‑powered automation, and rapid scaling.
Expectations
- Own end‑to‑end product architecture and technical roadmap.
- Deliver scalable, maintainable code across the stack (Java, Angular).
- Champion best practices in design, coding, testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.
- Foster a high‑performance engineering culture through mentorship, recruitment, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and communicate effectively with product, management, clients, and partners.
- Oversee software design, coding, testing, deployment, and quality standards.
- Lead initiatives to integrate AI and agentic development practices into production workflows.
- Drive automation and AI‑driven process improvements to increase platform efficiency and usability.
- Influence technology choices, evaluating and enhancing the current stack (Docker, Nginx, AWS, GitLab).
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor new engineering talent; manage remote/outsource team dynamics.
- Collaborate closely with product and scrum management to optimize engineering processes and sprint execution.
Required Skills
- Strong architectural design and system scaling experience in SaaS environments.
- Proficiency in Java, Angular, Docker, Nginx, AWS (RDS/MySQL, S3, EC2, CloudWatch).
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), version control, automated testing, and deployment automation.
- Hands‑on experience with AI‑driven automation, workflow optimization, and agentic development.
- Proven leadership in guiding cross‑functional teams and influencing technical direction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, and customer‑centric mindset.
- Analytical mindset with understanding of KPIs, performance metrics, and continuous improvement.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar cloud‑platform certification (preferred).
