Job Description
**Job Title** Software Engineer – Corporate Internship **Role Summary** An internship for an undergraduate student to develop, test, and maintain software solutions for Nordstrom’s e‑commerce and in‑store technology platforms. The role involves collaborating with engineering, UX, and product teams in an Agile DevOps environment to deliver web, API, mobile, and cloud applications. **Expactations** - Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, graduating Fall 2026–Spring 2027. - Proactive, self‑starter with strong problem‑solving and communication skills. - Able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and learn new technologies quickly. **Key Responsibilities** - Write, test, and deploy code in modern object‑oriented or scripting languages. - Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration pipelines. - Collaborate with technical program managers and UX designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Contribute to Agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives). - Automate infrastructure and deployment workflows using DevOps practices. - Troubleshoot and resolve production and test‑environment issues. **Required Skills** - Familiarity with Java, Golang, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages. - Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML/CSS, RESTful APIs). - Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools. - Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is a plus. - Strong analytical, debugging, and communication abilities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current enrollment in a bachelor’s program (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field). - No specific certifications required.
