**Job title** Ingredient Scientist **Role Summary** Develop and validate ingredient specifications to ensure compliance with FDA standards in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment. Lead projects affecting supplier updates, cost savings, supply issues, and production challenges while supporting beverage product development. **Expectations** - Deliver accurate ingredient specifications and documentation. - Manage projects that influence ingredient sourcing, cost, and production efficiency. - Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and supply chain teams to resolve ingredient‑related challenges. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Compile and maintain ingredient specification documents ensuring FDA compliance. 2. Evaluate raw materials and their application in beverage formulations. 3. Lead cross‑functional projects: supplier requirement updates, cost‑saving initiatives, supply‑chain issues, and production challenges. 4. Work closely with R&D to support product development and troubleshoot ingredient performance. 5. Participate in internal audits and quality improvement activities related to ingredients. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and documentation skills. - Proficiency in ingredient testing, specification development, and data analysis. - Project management and cross‑functional collaboration. - Knowledge of FDA regulations applicable to food and beverage ingredients. - Effective communication in written and verbal form. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field. - 1–3 years of experience in food/beverage R&D, quality, or CPG internship. - Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Auditor, Food Science Association) are a plus but not mandatory.
