Job Description
Job Title: Workday Configuration Specialist Role Summary: A technical specialist responsible for configuring, optimizing, and governing the Workday platform to align with HR and business needs. Supports daily operations, leads continuous improvement initiatives, and manages release cycles to enhance system performance and user adoption. Expectations: - Deliver high‑quality configuration changes within defined release windows. - Provide timely technical support and resolve user tickets with minimal business impact. - Demonstrate accountability, urgency, and strong stakeholder communication. Key Responsibilities: - Configure and maintain Workday modules (Core HCM, Talent & Performance, Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking). - Evaluate current settings, recommend automation and efficiency improvements. - Translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions. - Respond to and resolve Workday tickets, incidents, and user requests. - Conduct system audits, data integrity checks, and quality reviews. - Manage release cycles: impact assessment, regression testing, deployment, and stakeholder communication. - Ensure compliance with data security, governance, and regulatory standards. - Document procedures, configurations, and best practices. - Collaborate with HR, IT, and business units to align system design and delivery. Required Skills: - 3+ years of Workday configuration experience across two or more modules. - Deep knowledge of HR processes, metrics, and best practices. - Strong diagnostic skills for configuration and integration issues. - Excellent communication, customer service, and stakeholder management. - Project management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field (preferred). - Workday HCM or Payroll certification (preferred). ---
