Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary: Responsible for designing, automating, deploying, and operating the enterprise IT systems. Drives containerisation, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines while maintaining high availability, security, and scalability of applications and infrastructure.
Expectations: Deliver end‑to‑end DevOps solutions, collaborate cross‑functionally, ensure continuous improvement of processes, contribute to security best practices, and support a culture of DevOps adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, deploy, and operate applications using Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Jenkins, GitLab‑CI, and related tools.
- Define, implement, and manage IT architecture, virtualised environments (VMware) and multi‑cloud resources (Azure/AWS).
- Automate configuration, orchestration, deployment, and batch scheduling.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve level 2/3 incidents, maintaining system availability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation (architecture, operations, procedures).
- Collaborate with development, operations, security, and data teams to embed DevOps practices.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years in DevOps roles; solid experience with automation, containerisation, orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, HashiCorp Vault, Rundeck, Jenkins, GitLab‑CI.
- Strong knowledge of version control (Git), issue tracking (Jira), documentation (Confluence), and artifact repositories (Nexus).
- Administration of Linux (CentOS, RHEL, Rocky) and Windows servers; VMware virtualisation.
- Experience with storage and backup solutions (Dell EMC, Avamar, DataDomain, RecoverPoint).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Groovy, PowerShell, Bash, Java).
- Cloud infrastructure experience (Azure, AWS) and batch/job scheduling.
- Awareness of ELK stack, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle databases.
- Operational English proficiency.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Bac+5 equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of DevOps project experience.
- Certifications useful: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or equivalent.
