Job Description
**Job Title**: Director, Marketing **Role Summary**: Lead national brand strategy and local franchise performance marketing, managing a combined budget of $6 M+ and delivering measurable ROI across the franchise network. **Expectations**: - Drive brand growth for revenue >$150 M. - Allocate and optimize a national ad fund and local marketing investments. - Coach franchise owners toward break‑even and continued growth. - Travel up to 25 % for events and stakeholder meetings. **Key Responsibilities**: - Design and execute integrated marketing programs, seasonal campaigns, and consumer‑journey initiatives. - Partner with agency of record to develop breakthrough creative assets. - Manage the national ad fund; evaluate spend, ROI, and resource allocation. - Lead and mentor a local performance‑marketing team; provide 1:1 coaching. - Develop customized annual marketing plans for each franchise owner (channel mix, vendors). - Oversee onboarding of new franchise owners; ensure ramp‑up to break‑even. - Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with Digital, PR, CRM, Analytics, Franchise Development, IT, Legal, Accounting, and external agencies. - Produce marketing content for conferences, meetings, newsletters, and training platforms. - Present performance, insights, and brand direction to franchise advisory councils and town halls. - Track and report on national and local marketing KPIs, ROI/ROAS, and recommend optimization actions. - Initiate brand research projects to inform strategy and continuous improvement. **Required Skills**: - Strong written and verbal communication; influence across all levels. - Critical thinking and process improvement within marketing operations and franchise support. - Leadership experience building high‑performing teams. - Data‑driven analytical mindset; comfortable interpreting metrics and trends. - Tech‑savvy; proactive learner of emerging marketing tools and platforms. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (MBA preferred). - Experience in a franchise system or home/consumer services retail marketing is highly desirable.
