Job title: Senior Engineering Manager, Infrastructure
Role Summary: Lead strategy, design, and operations for scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure supporting MZLA’s product ecosystem and global business systems. Manage a distributed team, drive automation, CI/CD, and IaC best practices, and ensure operational excellence, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance across all services.
Expactations: • Deliver rapid, secure scaling of new SaaS and existing services.
• Maintain high availability, observability, and resilient incident response.
• Optimize cloud spend and operational budgets.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities: • Design and evolve multi‑cloud infrastructure for scalability and cost efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed infrastructure team.
• Implement and enforce Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible), CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps practices.
• Define and monitor SLOs, operational metrics, and cost dashboards.
• Coordinate on‑call rotations, incident management, root‑cause analysis, and post‑incident reviews.
• Collaborate with product, security, compliance, and business teams to align infrastructure decisions.
• Manage vendor relationships, budgeting, and scaling plans.
• Engage with open‑source communities to enhance infrastructure tooling.
Required Skills: • 15+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles; 4+ years in leadership.
• Proficiency with multi‑cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Expertise in IaC (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible) and Kubernetes cluster operations.
• Strong CI/CD, automation, and GitOps craftsmanship.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security, data protection, and compliance frameworks.
• Observability, monitoring, and alerting implementation.
• Incident management, on‑call, and post‑mortem skills.
• Cloud cost stewardship and budgeting experience.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and distributed team management.
• Passion for open‑source principles and collaborative problem‑solving.
Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
