Job Description
**Job Title:** System Administrator **Role Summary:** Deliver day‑to‑day technical support for local and remote employees, manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, maintain system security and data integrity, and develop/communicate standard operating procedures. Operates onsite in Austin, TX, with a 6‑month contract and a standard 8 am‑5 pm schedule. **Expectations:** * On‑site presence with remote support for Austin, TX staff during business hours. * Complete onboarding and off‑boarding of hardware/software, secure disposal of assets, and inventory control. * Provide training, documentation, and troubleshooting for both technical and non‑technical users. * Manage project tasks independently, transition quickly between incidents, and maintain accountability for all initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Deliver hardware, software, and networking support for laptops, mobile devices, and remote users. 2. Deploy, configure, image, and migrate systems for new hires and current staff. 3. Install and roll out hardware/software updates to end users and groups. 4. Maintain password policies, data integrity, and file system security. 5. Coordinate laptop and accessory distribution, tracking, inventory, shipping, and receiving. 6. Oversee secure disposal of retired IT assets. 7. Develop, document, and communicate SOPs and instructional guidelines. 8. Participate in testing of software and hardware, providing technical feedback. 9. Maintain network equipment, telephony, and video conferencing systems. 10. Assist IT teams with project requirements and data‑center operations. **Required Skills:** * Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems. * Strong knowledge of PC hardware and troubleshooting. * Advanced Excel and SharePoint skills; Microsoft Office Suite familiarity. * Working understanding of iOS and Android mobile OS. * Excellent written and verbal communication in English. * Ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences. * Experience conducting end‑user training programs. * Demonstrated multitasking ability and swift issue resolution. * High level of accountability; independent project management. **Required Education & Certifications:** * Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. * CompTIA A+ and/or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals highly preferred. * Equivalent industry experience may substitute for formal certification.
