Job Title: Vice President Finance
Role Summary:
Senior finance executive responsible for leading all financial functions in a high‑growth diagnostics company, driving strategic planning, capital management, and board‑level communications in a regulated life‑sciences environment.
Expectations:
- 15–20 years of progressive finance experience, 3–5 years at VP/SVP level.
- Strong background in life sciences/biotech/diagnostics, from R&D to launch.
- CPA highly preferred; MBA/CFA advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Finance team (accounting, budgeting, forecasting, audit, compliance).
- Partner with C‑suite on strategic planning, market expansion, fundraising, and board reporting.
- Design and optimize financial systems, controls, and processes (AP/AR, payroll, cash, risk).
- Collaborate across R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial functions for product launches and operational planning.
- Analyze financial data to shape pricing, capital allocation, and resource strategy.
- Manage external relationships with auditors, banks, investors, and vendors; ensure transparency and value creation.
- Oversee financial diligence for fundraising, M&A, partnerships, and licensing.
- Support regulatory filings, grant reporting, and ad‑hoc financial requests.
- Mentor and develop a high‑performance finance team.
Required Skills:
- Advanced financial modeling, analytics, and reporting.
- Deep knowledge of ERP/accounting systems and scaled operations.
- Expertise in regulatory compliance, FDA/EMA guidelines, and grant reporting.
- Proven ability to raise capital and manage capex financing.
- Strong collaboration and business acumen with technical and commercial leaders.
- Experience scaling manufacturing operations in diagnostics or related life‑science fields.
- Leadership in building, scaling, and improving finance teams in entrepreneurial settings.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- CPA preferred (mandatory).
- MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
