**Job Title**
Generative AI Designer/Developer – Final Year Internship (M/F)
**Role Summary**
Internship to design and prototype generative AI solutions for cybersecurity. Focus on leveraging large language models (LLMs), retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector databases to automate security data analysis, incident support, report generation, and SOC assistant tools.
**Expectations**
* Develop proficiency in Python, backend frameworks (FastAPI/Flask), and AI model integration.
* Build end‑to‑end prototypes (POCs/POVs) that demonstrate use cases such as incident analysis, threat classification, and similarity detection.
* Stay current on emerging generative AI techniques and cybersecurity AI applications.
* Deliver well‑documented code, APIs, and user interfaces suitable for integration into security workflows.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design and develop POCs applying generative AI to cybersecurity tasks.
* Integrate and manipulate LLMs via APIs or open‑source models.
* Implement RAG pipelines and set up vector stores (FAISS, Milvus, Weaviate).
* Collect, clean, and structure security data (logs, alerts, IOCs, reports).
* Create relevant vector embeddings and semantic search algorithms for cyber context.
* Prototype interfaces or APIs for SOC/analyst workflow integration.
* Perform continuous benchmarking of open‑source and commercial AI solutions.
* Keep up‑to‑date with advances in generative AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face).
* Document development work and contribute to team knowledge bases.
**Required Skills**
* **Programming:** Strong Python; experience with FastAPI/Flask or similar.
* **AI/GenAI:** Knowledge of LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vectorization; hands‑on with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Hugging Face.
* **Data & Storage:** Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL and vector databases.
* **Cybersecurity Knowledge:** Understanding of logs, IOCs, malware, SOC processes, threat intelligence.
* **Soft Skills:** Curiosity, autonomy, initiative, teamwork, clear technical documentation, English fluency (written and spoken).
* **Hacking Experience:** Practical exposure to CTFs or platforms such as Hack The Box/RootMe.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Current enrolment in a 4‑/5‑year program in Computer Security, Cybersecurity, or related field.
* No specific certifications required, but certifications in cybersecurity or AI are a plus.
