Job Description
Job Title: Software Engineer II Role Summary Embedded software engineer responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining firmware for next‑generation patient monitoring devices. Works with a local software architect and a distributed team of developers and test engineers to implement features, resolve defects, and ensure high‑quality, secure, IEC 62304‑compliant code. Expactations - Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a W2 basis. - No sponsorship or C2C arrangements available. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and unit‑test software features for new and existing monitoring products. - Investigate, reproduce, and fix software defects. - Conduct discovery work and plan development for upcoming features. - Write clean, well‑documented code following coding standards. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (test, systems, infrastructure) to deliver integrated solutions. - Produce and maintain technical documentation for software components. - Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, planning, retrospectives). - Perform peer code reviews and contribute to feature grooming sessions. Expectations: Deliver projects on time and within budget; maintain accurate program plans and interdependency tracking; identify and mitigate risks; prepare governance materials; provide subject‑matter expertise to global program teams. Key Responsibilities: • Lead cross‑functional planning and execution for assigned assets and indications. • Maintain integrated program plans in enterprise tools (ePlan) and detailed stage‑specific timelines (MS Project/Planner). • Track milestones, manage interdependencies, and lead risk identification/mitigation. • Support budget and resource tracking; raise escalation when constraints arise. • Prepare materials for governance and leadership reviews. • Act as PM subject‑matter expert within Global Program Teams; ensure stakeholder alignment.
