**Job Title:** ServiceNow Engineering Consultant
**Role Summary:**
Remote technical specialist responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the ServiceNow platform and associated infrastructure. Provides architectural guidance, project delivery, and production support while collaborating with platform architects, process owners, and project managers to ensure reliable, scalable, and cost‑effective solutions.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 8 years of systems engineering experience (or 12 years with a high‑school diploma/GED).
- Proven ability to work preferred PST hours and collaborate across distributed teams.
- Strong communication skills for translating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to lead technical aspects of projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and automate processes for efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Partner with platform architect and process owners to deliver consultative technical direction for OS, software, and hardware environments.
- Design and implement network, infrastructure, and ServiceNow solutions (ITSM, ITAM, GRC, ITOM, CSM).
- Support new technology integrations, including hardware platforms, operating systems, and databases.
- Coordinate project planning and execution, ensuring timely, quality delivery of objectives.
- Develop strategic technology plans, documentation, backup/recovery, and disaster‑recovery procedures.
- Resolve complex technical problems, perform root‑cause analysis, and automate repetitive tasks.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff and cross‑functional teams.
**Required Skills:**
- ServiceNow platform expertise (ITSM, ITAM, GRC, ITOM, CSM).
- Systems engineering: scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python), troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Infrastructure knowledge: networking, data integration, cloud/hybrid environments.
- Database administration fundamentals.
- Project coordination and stakeholder communication.
- Automation tools and best practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, workflow automation).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field **and** ≥8 years experience, **or** High School Diploma/GED **and** ≥12 years experience.
- Preferred: ServiceNow System Administrator certification or higher (e.g., Implementation Specialist).
- Additional relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, AWS, Azure) are a plus.
