**Job Title:** Editorial Specialist (12‑Month Contract) **Role Summary:** This role curates, crafts, and manages high‑impact editorial content across Ind­igo’s digital and physical touchpoints. Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing, the specialist ensures a consistent brand voice, drives customer engagement, and supports cross‑functional campaigns from brief to execution. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate, on‑brand copy on schedule and within scope across email, web, social, in‑store signage, and packaging. - Increase engagement, traffic, and conversion while maintaining SEO and AI best practices. - Continuously refine editorial processes and maximize output efficiency. - Foster a customer‑centric mindset and collaborate seamlessly with creative, marketing, merchants, and vendor teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create and edit compelling copy for e‑commerce, product packaging, gift guides, live events, and campaigns. - Curate and unify brand messaging, ensuring alignment with overarching storytelling priorities. - Build end‑to‑end campaign messaging, guiding subjects from briefing through final delivery. - Partner with cross‑functional teams to identify storytelling opportunities and elevate the customer experience. - Apply SEO and AI‑driven insights to improve discoverability, engagement, and conversion. - Proofread and edit content for clarity, accuracy, and brand consistency. - Leverage channel analytics to iterate and optimise copy strategies. - Maintain and contribute to the editorial calendar and omnichannel briefs. - Champion process improvements, encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams. **Required Skills:** - Excellent copywriting and editorial judgment across diverse media. - Proficiency with SEO fundamentals (keyword research, on‑page optimisation). - Familiarity with AI content‑generation tools and responsible use. - Strong project management and ability to meet tight deadlines. - High‑level editing, proofreading, and fact‑checking abilities. - Collaborative mindset with cross‑functional stakeholder management. - Customer‑focused communication strategy and analytical mindset. - Adaptability to shifting priorities and platform requirements. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field. - Minimum 3 years of editorial or copywriting experience in a marketing or brand environment. - Certifications in Digital Marketing, SEO, or AI‑driven content creation are advantageous but not mandatory. **Portfolio:** Applicants must submit a portfolio demonstrating relevant editorial work.
