Job Description
**Job Title:** UK+ Credit Control Team Leader **Role Summary:** Lead and manage the UK+ credit control team (3 members) to ensure timely invoice collection, meet cash‑flow and DSO targets, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. Combine office (Bath/London) and remote work, reporting to the Global Credit Manager. **Expectations:** - Achieve and sustain DSO and cash‑forecast targets. - Provide proactive leadership, coaching, and performance monitoring for the team. - Resolve escalations, disputes, and bad‑debt risks efficiently. - Identify and implement process improvements and best practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Supervise monthly and weekly UK+ cash forecasts for the Global Credit Control Manager. - Lead weekly team meetings and individual 1‑to‑1s; motivate and develop team members. - Support escalations, major account reconciliations, and dispute resolution via Esker system. - Prepare UK+ refunds and coordinate with Global Credit Manager. - Manage Dunning process, ensure compliance with credit policy, and monitor statutory reporting (180BDP & Statutory BDP). - Oversee UK+ reporting in Esker and present receivables status to senior stakeholders. - Build and maintain relationships with key external clients to secure invoice payments within terms. - Advise internal project directors/principals on collection status and potential credit risk. - Coordinate with Credit Risk Manager to flag potential bad debt. - Ensure accurate cash posting, allocation, and month‑end bank reconciliations by Shared Services. - Escalate cases for external debt recovery as needed. **Required Skills:** - Proven team‑leadership and people‑management experience. - Strong receivables management with a track record of successful client negotiations. - Excellent written and verbal communication; strong influencing and stakeholder‑management abilities. - High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines. - Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and capability to present analytical data. - Proactive problem‑solving, decision‑making, and continuous improvement mindset. - Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across global teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Membership of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) or actively pursuing CICM qualification. - Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field (preferred). - Experience in professional services or construction industry is advantageous.
