Job Description: **Job title:** Lead Platform Engineer **Role Summary:** Senior technical leader responsible for designing, securing, and evolving the organization’s cloud-first platform. Drives platform strategy, governance, and capability development while delivering hands‑on engineering across a scalable, resilient environment. **Expectations:** - Own end‑to‑end cloud platform lifecycle and act as the technical authority. - Collaborate with Infrastructure, DevOps, and Systems teams to establish standards, security, and governance frameworks. - Mentor and grow the Platform Engineering capability within the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and continuously improve cloud architecture, shared services, and engineering standards. - Define and maintain cloud networking, connectivity, and Zero‑Trust security principles. - Develop and implement disaster recovery and regional resilience strategies; lead regular DR testing. - Establish platform guardrails, patterns, and IaC standards (e.g., Terraform, Bicep). - Deliver infrastructure-as-code pipelines in partnership with DevOps. - Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and shape the operating model for Platform Engineering. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience designing and owning large‑scale cloud platforms. - Deep expertise in cloud networking (firewalls, front doors, NSGs, routing, service connectivity). - Strong background in disaster recovery, resilience, and fail‑over design. - In‑depth knowledge of cloud security, identity, and Zero‑Trust architecture. - Experience acting as a technical authority or platform lead. - Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) and IaC certifications preferred.
