Job Title: Systems Integration Architect (F/M)
Role Summary
Lead the end‑to‑end development of complex electronic systems, from client requirement analysis and specification through design, supplier selection, and integration. Oversee multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with electromagnetic, environmental, and safety criteria, and support project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
Expectations
- Translate client requirements into testable internal specifications.
- Communicate technical clarifications and propose innovative solutions.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage timelines, and deliver on cost, schedule, and performance targets.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and provide validation plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer brief, verify all requirements are captured in the proposed solution and cost estimate.
- Author system specifications, including testable internal requirements.
- Resolve technical ambiguities with clients.
- Define system architecture to meet specifications, addressing EMI, environmental robustness, mechanical integration, and electrical wiring.
- Select suppliers for equipment, subsystems, or services.
- Lead preliminary and detailed design reviews.
- Draft validation plans for the system.
- Collaborate with the project manager on planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Manage internal suppliers (industrial design bureau, manufacturing, quality).
- Monitor external supplier performance on schedule, budget, and quality.
- Control technical documentation throughout the project life cycle.
- Prepare test (recette) documentation and conduct overall validation.
- Oversee integration of equipment and subsystems.
- Support project manager in tracking project progress.
- Travel internationally as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (≥5 years) in system architecture and integration of electronic products.
- Strong technical writing and specification skills.
- Expertise in electromagnetic compatibility, environmental testing, mechanical integration, and electrical wiring.
- Supplier management and procurement experience.
- Knowledge of design review processes and validation planning.
- Ability to articulate costs, schedules, and performance objectives to multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective communication and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Fluent in English; additional languages advantageous.
- Willingness to travel abroad regularly.
- Experience with national defense security clearances (e.g., Confidential Defence, Secret Defence) acceptable.
Required Education & Certifications
- Engineering degree (Bac +5) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years dedicated experience in the design, deployment, and implementation of electronic systems.
- Security clearance (Confidential Defence, Secret Defence) may be required.
