Job Description
**Job Title:** DevOps Engineer **Role Summary:** DevOps Engineer responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and enhancing the client’s cloud infrastructure. Applies Linux operations, scripting, container orchestration, and cloud automation to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable environments. **Expectations:** - Contract-to-hire, hybrid work schedule. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. **Key Responsibilities:** - Operate and monitor Linux-based cloud environments. - Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, AWK, Sed, YUM) for automation and configuration management. - Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker Swarm and Kubernetes. - Manage AWS cloud services, including EC2, ELB, RDS, and relevant AWS tools. - Configure and maintain application servers (JVM, Apache Tomcat). - Use IT automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins) to orchestrate CI/CD pipelines. - Collaborate with DevOps peers to improve infrastructure, processes, and security posture. - Respond to incident alerts, troubleshoot issues, and conduct root‑cause analysis. **Required Skills:** - Proficient with Linux administration. - Strong scripting in Bash; familiarity with AWK, Sed, YUM. - Solid knowledge of Python. - Experience with containerization & orchestration: Docker Swarm, Kubernetes. - Hands-on with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC, IAM, etc.). - Experience configuring JVM-based applications, notably Apache Tomcat. - Proficiency with CI/CD and IT automation tools: Ansible, Jenkins. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Certifications (preferred but not mandatory): AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent.
